Temple Emanuel will celebrate the installation of Senior Rabbis Emily Hyatt and Elizabeth Sacks, the Shabbat of Nov. 7 and 8.
Special guests for the weekend include:
- Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, senior rabbi, Central Synagogue, New York City
- Matt Grossman, CEO, BBYO
- Dr. Yehuda Kurtzer, president, Shalom Hartman Institute
The event begins Friday, Nov. 7, with Shabbat worship and the senior rabbi installation at 6 p.m., followed by a Shabbat dinner at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 8, the weekend continues:
- 9:30 a.m., Torah study with Kurtzer
- 11 a.m., community Shabbat service
- 12:30 p.m., Shabbat lunch
- 6:30 p.m., “Leading with Light: Illuminating Ideas for Our Shared Future,” an evening of dialogue and vision
