Former Adams County District Attorney Marvin Dansky died on May 20, 2026, at the age of 96. A service was held on May 24 at Emanuel Cemetery. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Born in New York City on October 6, 1929, Mr. Dansky grew up on Long Island. His parents, Joseph and Helen, were immigrants to the US. Joseph Dansky died when Marvin was young, and Helen Dansky passed away when Marvin was a teenager.

Mr. Dansky enlisted in the US Army in 1947, where he was trained as a medic and was stationed in Florida, and later at Fitzsimons in Aurora.

After his discharge, Mr. Dansky attended CU Boulder, where he played football. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting, and obtained his law degree at DU.

While in law school, Mr. Dansky met his future wife, Helen. They were married in 1952. In 2001, Mr. Dansky married Janice Dansky; they were a couple until Mr. Dansky’s passing.

In 1961, Mr. Dansky was elected District Attorney in Adams County, where he prosecuted a number of high-profile corruption cases involving local officials. After leaving office, he built a private practice and was a mainstay of the Adams County bar until his retirement.

“Marvin was an avid skier, world traveler and a ginormous Broncos fan,” his family said. “Marvin shocked everybody by revealing a remarkable talent for painting.”

Survivors are Mr. Dansky’s wife Janice; children Jerrie, David (Vicki), Theresa and Rebecca; grandchildren Elizabeth (Dan) Schuman, Olivia (Dr. Jeffrey Rosenthal) Dansky, Wes (Sloan) Friednash, Jessica Friednash and Seth Delisi; great-granddaughter Abigail Schuman; and niece Nancy Dansky.

Edward Pluss

Fifth-generation Coloradan Edward “Eddie” Pluss passed away on May 1, 2026. He was 70 years old. A service was held on May 3 at Feldman Mortuary, with interment at Emanuel Cemetery, officiated by Rabbi Elizabeth Sacks. Feldman Mortuary made the arrangements.

A Denver native and born in 1955, Mr. Pluss attended George Washington High School. He received his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin and a law degree at DU. In 1982, he met who would become his wife, Janis, at a public defender’s holiday party, and they were married for over 40 years.

Mr. Pluss spent his career as a federal public defender.

“Eddie leaves an enduring legacy measured by his commitment to public service and depth of his personal relationships,” Mr. Pluss’ family said.

“As a federal public defender, he gave a voice to those that society had forgotten or had theirs taken away, profoundly affecting an immeasurable number of lives throughout this career.

“Those who knew Eddie described him as kind, warm, even, generous, practical, funny and honest (sometimes to a fault) — a moral compass and close confidant, but always up for a good time.”

Survivors are Mr. Pluss’ wife Janis; son Max Pluss; brother Stewart Pluss; sister-in-law Julie Pluss, and niece and nephew Taylor Pluss and Arthur Pluss.
