Danny Levitt
Denver native Danny Allan Levitt died on May 6, 2026. He was 69. A service was held on May 13 at Temple Sinai. Feldman Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Born on June 1, 1956, Mr. Levitt graduated from CSU and earned an MBA from DU. On March 6, 1983, he married Jean Melissa Buchanan; they were a couple until Mr. Levitt’s passing.
Mr. Levitt spent his career in broadcast software and sales consulting, training and mentoring. His family were longtime members of Temple Sinai.
Mr. Levitt was an avid Denver sports fan, and loved the National Western Stock Show and the beaches of Hawaii.
“Dan will be remembered for his gift of caring for others,” his family said. “Most of all, he will be remembered for his passionate love for his family and his wonderful sense of humor.”
Survivors are Mr. Levitt’s wife Jean; sons David (Elizabeth Lord) Levitt and Jeffrey (Eizabeth) Levitt; grandchildren Betty, Lucy and Leighton; siblings Jim (Shirley) Levitt and Terry Heywood; and brother-in-law Dan (Kim) Buchanan.

Don Zolla
Longtime teacher Don Zolla passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 76. A service was held on May 14 at Feldman Mortuary, which handled the arrangements.
A native of Chicago, Mr. Zolla attended the University of Michigan. He then graduated from the Culinary Institute of America and worked as the head chef at the Doubletree Hotel, first in Seattle and then in Denver.
At the age of 38, Mr. Zolla returned to school at the University of Kansas to get a degree in math education. He then resettled in Denver and worked as a math teacher at Gateway High School, and then Littleton High School, where he also coached tennis.
Mr. Zolla closed his teaching career at Arapahoe Community College.
“Don lived a life of reinvention, humor, warmth and generosity,” his family said.
“His life was full of baking bread and brownies and birthday cakes, hiking in the mountains, biking on rails to trails, playing tennis and golf, spending time with his grandkids, and cheering on the Wolverines, Jayhawks and Cubs.”
Survivors are Mr. Zolla’s wife Peggy; daughters Amy (Seth Cohen) Zolla and Kathy (Zach Ceriani) Zolla; grandchildren Eleanor and Leo Cohen, Madeline, Juliet and Eliza Ceriani; brother William (Katie) Zolla and sister Margie (John Kierig) Zolla.
